Interclub

What’s Interclub?

Junior Interclubs, a Medal Day and Ribbon Day are held over eight Sundays during the season.

These are open to ALL registered club athletes aged from 7 through to 15 years of age.

Seven rounds of events are held from 10am to 2pm. It gives athletes a great opportunity to try all the events in a more competitive environment.

Complete a one off season registration, if your child is going to be competing in ANY of the seasons interclubs. This is separate to to your registration with Olympic and you only have to do this once at the beginning of the season. Season entries must be completed by 11:59pm on the Wednesday prior to an Interclub meet

One off season registration is closed for 2022/23.

Interclub overview

  1. Complete your season registration

  2. Purchase your Olympic uniform. You have to wear it for all the interclubs, colgate games, medal day and ribbon day. This is black shorts and the Olympic singlet or tshirt.

  3. Turn up at 9:30 for a 10am start at Newtown Park. It finishes around 2pm (you don't have to be there for the whole day).

  4. You'll  need your Age Flash with your registration number.  At the first interclub please get your age flash from the Olympic table which will be setup in the large room to the right as you enter Newtown Park or email us if it’s after the first interclub.

Other things to note:

Kids get to compete against athletes in their age group from other clubs.

It’s for 7 to 15 year olds. Your age/grade is your age at 31 December.

Each athlete competing earns individual points and club points at all the interclubs.  At the end of the season they have an award for the individual in each age group with the most points, and the club with the most points.  Olympic has won this trophy many times.

All junior interclubs are free as part of your club membership.

We will send a programme out the week prior to each interclub.  It’s a great family day out.  The kids love it.  It gives them a chance to make new friends and compete in a friendly environment.

We run the Long Jump pit 2. So parents will be asked to help out.
